Tom Glavine really had his stuff working on Opening Day. The Atlanta Braves hurler mystified the Los Angeles Dodgers and shut them out 2-0. Glavine allowed a total of 6 hits in the ballgame and struck out 8.
"The shutout is nice but I'm just happy we won," Glavine said with a smile after the game. "Coach can be a real bear when we lose."
The Braves are now 1-0 and are tied for first place in the NL West with the Padres and the Reds.
